Accommodation Partners on the Bali Global English Camp
This summer SBI has partnered with The Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran to host our Global English Camp families and this 5-star resort, just 3 minutes by shuttle from SBI.
The Movenpick Resort & Spa is a tropical haven in the heart of Jimbaran with a large, child friendly swimming pool and the beach can be accessed via a short 2-minute walk from the back of the resort.
The resort kids’ club is an expansive exploration and play area and is open to 6pm daily providing parents with additional child-minding options after the daily camp check out. Parents can also take advantage of the luxury spa at Movenpick and enjoy a 10% discount with their SBI VIP card.
The resort is located next to the popular Samasta Mall and this allows families easy walking access to a range of different restaurants, cafés and shops located within side the mall. Many of these restaurants, including Magal Korean BBQ, also provide VIP discounts to SBI Global English Camp families.

Four Points by Sheraton has spectacular views over Jimbaran Bay and the standard room type form Global English Camp Families is the Deluxe Bay View room.

SBI Learning Resort and Camp Education Facilities
SBI’s Learning Resort, just 3 minutes by shuttle from Movenpick Resort and Spa, is the hub for all camp education programmes. Camp activities take place in a newly constructed primary school campus, adjacent to the adult English campus.
Purpose-built classrooms with interactive whiteboards enable collaborative learning, while STEAM activities occur in a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces, including the resort’s green areas.
A catered buffet lunch with healthy, culturally suitable options and fresh fruit is provided daily. Parents in the full English study programme can also join mixed-nationality English classes with SBI’s adult students.

Weekly Themes
Week 1: Balinese Culture
Students are welcomed with an introduction to Bali's vibrant traditions. Activities include creating Balinese offerings (Canang Sari), learning basic Indonesian phrases, and receiving traditional Balinese attire for a group photo. Students enjoy a hands-on experience preparing an Indonesian rice tower feast, designing Balinese masks, and learning storytelling through traditional dance. Outings include surf lessons and a baby turtle release. This week helps students build confidence in using English while exploring Balinese culture.
Week 2: Save Our Planet
This week inspires environmental awareness and action. Students engage in the 'Garden to Table' process by harvesting vegetables from SBI’s Hydroponic Garden to create handmade pizzas. They learn about Bali’s coral reef ecosystem and participate in a coral restoration project and snorkelling expedition. Students use English to discuss global challenges, develop solutions, and present their ideas.
Week 3: Entrepreneurship & Leadership
Campers become mini-CEOs, learning the language of business through designing products and marketing campaigns for the SBI Camp Kids Market Bazaar. Proceeds from sales support the Kalaweit Gibbon Foundation and Piduh Charity Café. Activities include team-based business projects and an educational outing to a chocolate factory. Week 3 also features surf lessons at Jimbaran beach, fostering teamwork and creativity while enhancing English fluency.
Week 4: The Great Outdoors
The final week celebrates nature and adventure. Students visit Bali Bird Park, go ocean canoeing, and explore weather science through hands-on experiments like building barometers and rafts. The camp concludes with a sports day featuring fun challenges like egg-and-spoon races and relay games. By week’s end, students have significantly improved their English fluency and confidence in communication.
Camp Outings
Surf Lessons
Students enjoy beginner-friendly surfing lessons at Jimbaran beach, one of the best spots in Bali for learning to surf. Most participants successfully ride waves on the first day.
Turtle Release
Students participate in a baby turtle release, experiencing the start of the turtles' life cycle and completing a life-cycle project to present in class.
Coral Planting
At Pandawa’s coral reef restoration project, students learn about reef ecosystems and plant their own coral, receiving a formal certificate for their contribution.
Snorkelling Excursion
Students snorkel in the Indian Ocean, exploring vibrant sea life with safety measures in place, including life jackets and a dedicated safety team.
Chocolate Factory Tour
A visit to Jungle Gold Chocolate Factory allows students to learn the chocolate-making process and create their own chocolate bar to take home.
Bali Bird Park
Students explore Bali Bird Park, participating in a bird race, enjoying spectacular shows, and experiencing the Cinematic Migration Experience.
Thursday Camp BBQ Dinner and Class Performances
The camp BBQ dinner includes delicious food and entertainment in the SBI Learning Garden. Students perform songs and dances, and shuttle service is provided for all camp families.
Parents' Activities:
Parents on the Global English Camp receive an option of either English classes or Yoga classes and these activities are included in the camp package.
